Getting Acquainted with BRIDGE-RI

Established in 2019 and launched statewide in early 2020, BRIDGE-RI is the new home for all things Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) in the state of Rhode Island. BRIDGE-RI is both a website and a learning management system designed to support educators implementing MTSS practices, data, and systems.

BRIDGE-RI provides no-cost, readily available professional learning when you need it. If you have a training need for the educators in your district, tap into existing courses for support, and if you have a specific training need that you'd like to see addressed in a course, reach out to us at mtss.bridgeri@gmail.com for customization options! We can support course development so that your educators are getting what they need. Other benefits to accessing professional learning on BRIDGE-RI includes:
  • All educators receive consistent messaging and common language to build strong systems so that individuals in different roles are on the same page.
  • Anyone can create an account and enroll in courses, making high quality professional learning available to individuals or groups of teachers, coaches, department chairs, and administrators, to complete on their own time and at their own pace.
  • You can identify and preview courses that align to district and school improvement goals, as well as professional learning plans. Courses can be utilized to blend online and face-to-face support for your educators with BRIDGE-RI courses as a strong foundation and common starting place.
  • BRIDGE-RI can be easily shared with other district administrators as a source of professional learning vetted by RIDE and approved for earning PLUs.
BRIDGE-RI provides no-cost, readily available professional learning on topics that appeal to special educators, related service providers, and paraprofessionals. If you have a training need for the special educators in your district, tap into existing courses for support, and if you have a specific training need that you'd like to see addressed in a course, reach out to us at mtss.bridgeri@gmail.com for customization options!   • General educator and administrator use of BRIDGE-RI will improve Tier 1 academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports, improving outcomes for students who are differently abled.
  • Anyone can create an account and enroll in courses, making high quality professional learning available to individuals or groups of teachers, coaches, or department chairs to complete on their own time and at their own pace.

  • BRIDGE-RI can be easily shared with building administrators and special education staff as a source of professional learning vetted by RIDE and approved for earning PLUs.

Courses on BRIDGE-RI can be used in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) or during Common Planning Time, Professional Development days, and faculty meetings to support professional learning in your building. Other benefits to accessing professional learning on BRIDGE-RI includes:
  • All educators receive consistent messaging and common language to build strong systems so that individuals in different roles are on the same page.
  • You can preview and select courses for your building educators that align with school improvement plans, areas of need, or individual professional learning plans. 
  • Anyone can create an account and enroll in courses, making high quality professional learning available to individuals or groups of teachers, coaches, related service providers, and paraprofessionals, to complete on their own time and at their own pace.
  • BRIDGE-RI can be easily shared with other stakeholders as a source of professional learning vetted by RIDE and approved for earning PLUs.
  • Building leaders and implementers are invited to participate in virtual office hours to have MTSS and BRIDGE-RI questions answered in real-time!

BRIDGE-RI provides an easy-to-access, no-cost solution to help you meet your professional learning needs. You can earn Professional Learning Units (PLUs) for participating in and successfully completing online courses. What else can BRIDGE-RI offer you?
  • Professional learning is readily available to you. You can sign up for and complete courses on your own time and at your own pace. It's PD in your PJs!
  • Courses on BRIDGE-RI offer a variety of topics for supporting all students. Courses are continuously being designed and developed to support students at different grade levels, tiers of support, and area of need.
  • All course topics are designed to provide professional learning on evidence-based topics, meaning you can feel confident that you're spending your valuable time learning about practices and strategies that have been proven to work. 
  • Courses are designed specifically for Rhode Island educators. You will be able to see relevant examples from around the state.
